Last weekend we had the final detox weekend of the year down at Rye-and what a great weekend it was!
A group of 18 met down in Rye on the Friday night for a weekend of healthy, nutritious food, (free of sugar, saturated fats, caffeine, wheat & gluten-all the things that over load the system & make it that bit harder to function at 100%) plenty of exercise (beach walks, jogging, boxing, yoga), and lots of laughs! Some had attended our detox weekend before so knew what they were in for-for the other half of the group this was all a new and slightly daunting experience.
Come Sunday morning, we had a group who were a little weary, but otherwise lighter, fresher and definitely more motivated to lead a healthier and more active lifestyle! It really is the kick start needed for people who are either in a rut with their diet, or who need to be pointed in the right direction when it comes to a healthy diet.
Congrats to all who attended. For some weight loss was the goal, and they achieved this, with up to 3.5kg lost over the weekend. For others it was simply a chance to take some time for themselves, where they weren’t worried about their kids, or house work or any number of things that we are usually consumed by every day. The opportunity to have 2 whole days that are simply about “you”, is something many people seldom see. It is important to take this time to look after you, so that you can function better for not only you and your health, but also for those around you.
