Last weekend saw a group of 14 attend another of our “bootcamp detox” weekends on the Mornington Peninsula. The group arrived Friday night to the stunning beach house, and after a light dinner went for a brisk beach walk.
After various fitness sessions throughout the weekend, including a 2 hour trek up and around Arthurs Seat, a boxing circuit and more beach walks, the group finished up Sunday morning, a little tired, but healthier for the experience.
Again, some great weight losses were seen, with Andrea topping the list at 3.2kgs! Just as important as the weight loss though are the lessons learnt about reducing meal sizes, cutting out foods that are high in sugar and that are highly processed, and also seeing just how much we can challenge both our minds and our bodies when needed. These are the lessons that help push people to make permanent changes to their lifestyles that will see them live healthier, happier and longer lives.
Andrea’s take on the detox weekend: “I learnt about food, exercise, relaxation and i found the strength within me. This was all done with a fantastic trainer, beautiful people, a wonderful location and me. I know that I can do anything, with the support of fantastic people”.
