Last Sunday saw 10 of the 20 Health In Motion Fitness group who are signed up for the Melbourne100km event, out training on the course.
We did an up and back trip from Lysterfield Lake to Belgrave, with plenty of great scenery and of course, plenty of hills!
All the bootcamp training from Olivers hill, Mornington stairs and the quarries at Mt Eliza paid off, making the hills in Belgrave relatively easy! Even those who attended the detox weekend and suffered the pain of “hill sprints” up the steep driveway of the house, found the hills of Belgrave bearable in comparison!
After completing almost 30km, all were still moving well, so a great result for a few hours walking! Next big training walk in March, but there is always a 1 hour walk on a Sunday morning after the hour run from Patterson Lakes.
